The Rasdhoo Divers team has been providing exciting and safe dives for adventurous Kuramathi guests amongst the amazing marine life and warm waters of the Indian Ocean, since 1994. Our experienced, multi-lingual dive team provides a friendly and professional service to our guests and our enthusiastic instructors will inspire beginners to discover this amazing liquid world while learning to dive with SSI or PADI. Experienced divers will also find challenging dives with many types of sharks, mantas, turtles, rays, napoleons, barracuda, trevally and tuna as well as many of the smaller, but no less interesting inhabitants of the reef.

Our popular Shark Point, just out from the famous Madivaru Reef, is only a mere 8 minute boat ride from Kuramathi, and at times still offers lucky advanced divers the chance to see the magnificent Hammerhead sharks as the sun rises – this is one of the few remaining places in the world where you can occasionally still see these majestic creatures.

Comfort and convenience for diving guests is assured with fast, modern dive boats that reach more than 20 local dive sites in an average boat ride of just 15 minutes. Our local Rasdhoo atoll trips are supplemented by half day and full day trips to dive some of the best sites in neighbouring North Ari atoll.

We also provide nitrox for free as additional safety for certified Nitrox divers or offer the course and certification in your preferred language. Furthermore, we are well-supported by the Kuramathi Medical Centre and Hyperbaric Chamber.

The dive school is located near the Main reception (where you first arrived on the island) in the same area as the Eco Centre, Aqua Excursions Centre and Kuramathi Medical Centre. While we are often out diving, we are always open for your enquiries or registration between the hours of 11.00 and 12.30 and again from 16.00 to 18.30. Please stop by and see us.

We mainly use Scubapro dive equipment while our compressors are Bauer and NRC for nitrox. The diving boats are comfortable, spacious, 15 meter, purpose – built, modern, fiberglass diving dhonis with freshwater shower and toilet onboard. They are also fast which allows us to access many great dive sites in neighbouring Ari atoll. All boats are equipped for safety and feature DAN twin cylinder oxygen kits and DAN Guardian first aid kits.

In addition, we are fortunate to have the Kuramathi Medical Centre and Hyperbaric chamber (largest in the Maldives) on the island which is manned by a European diving physician and GP – just for peace of mind.
